Sept ans après la mort apparente de Chen Zhen, qui a été abattu après avoir découvert qui était responsable de la mort de son maître (Huo Yuanjia). La Chine est occupée par les Japonais dans Shanghai. Un mystérieux étranger arrive de l’étranger et rencontre un boss de la mafia locale. Cet homme Chen Zhen a l’intention d’infiltrer des gens quiforment une alliance avec les Japonais. Se déguisant en tant que combattant de la nuit, Chen a l’intention de relier toutes les personnes impliquées ainsi que mettre la main sur une liste d’assassinats préparé par les Japonais.
